- Pooja started her career as a model in the fashion industry, she also participated in the Miss India Universe beauty contest and in which she bagged the 2nd position in 2010.
- When she grabbed the title of Miss Univers, she starts getting offered in films and she was selected by the Tamil director Mysskin in 2012 for the film Mugamoodi.
- Pooja grabbed the chance to appear in the Telugu film “Oka Laila Kasam” in 2012.
