- S Yashasri is an Indian cricketer who is known for being chosen by UP Warriorz in the World Premier League auction.
- When she was in school, she was in many sports including Coco, swimming, and basketball, but was not interested in cricket. One day, when she saw her friend Pooja Vanka batting during an inter-school game, she decided that she also wanted to choose cricket.
- In 2016, she was called to be part of the school cricket team as they fell short of players, and she was asked to bowl because she was tall.
- When she was 13 years old, she used to watch matches on television and noticed the things a player would do in a particular situation. Later, she joined Bhavan’s Cricket Academy and started training before moving to Iqbal Cricket Academy.
- In an interview, she said that her parents always supported her despite people thinking there was no future for girls in cricket. She revealed that she never used to focus on her studies and only attended school for exams.
