BJP attacks Kejriwal, says wherever he goes, corruption starts | India News

NEW DELHI: Accusing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab of posing a threat to “national security” with its mining policy in border districts, the BJP on Wednesday said that the Punjab and Haryana high court’s stay on the new policy has once again exposed the corrupt face of the Arvind Kejriwal-led party.
“AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is the most corrupt leader in the country, and his party is a disease, which is now engineering scams in Punjab after doing so in Delhi,” BJP said. Party’s spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that time and again the corrupt face of AAP is being exposed to the public.
“The AAP government in Punjab has suffered two setbacks in a single day. The high court has also reprimanded the Punjab government and put stays on two of its schemes,” the party said.
Bhatia said that Arvind Kejriwal is the most corrupt leader in Indian politics. “Their only intention is to rob the public and fill their coffers,” BJP functionary said.
“What do Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann have to say on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana high court regarding the new mining policy of Punjab and the ration policy? Kejriwal and Mann should answer for what purpose was the new mining policy made?” BJP functionary questioned.
Bhatia also sought to know that the two leaders should explain what they have delivered in Punjab in the past six months. “The Punjab and Haryana HC’s stay on the new mining policy in Punjab makes a mockery of Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of ending corruption. The truth is that wherever Kejriwal ji goes, corruption starts there,” he said.
He said that as per the new mining policy of Punjab excavation up to three feet could be done without environmental clearance. “There were complaints of illegal mining in Punjab so the changes were made so that the ill-gotten money by illegal contractors could be shared with Kejriwal and his party,” Bhatia said.
He said that it is sad that the Indian Army had to come out and tell the court that the digging allowed in the new policy was detrimental for it as it would affect the bunkers built in the border area.
